Deeds are conveyances which transfer title of property from one party to another. The deed gives date of instrument, names of grantor (seller) and grantee (purchaser), location of property, amount paid for the property, grantor's notarized signature, certification of county clerk, and date recorded.

Bourbon, the fifth county in Kentucky was formed in 1785 from part of Fayette County. It is named for the Bourbon Family of France. Paris is its county seat. There was a courthouse fire in 1872.
